| Important Match tonight, let’s hope we play our strongest team |
| Yep. I am really questioning everything they are doing now. Why give away 3 points? These games count for seeding also. |
1 minute in, strong is not the word I would use |
Well at least Mr B switched goalies…that was a huge concern! |
|
Nice to see them win, but Costa Rica was so bad, that it’s hard to take anything from it.
If they can t do better in the final third, and cut down in defensive errors, the next game against Mexico could be ugly. |

I felt bad for Ruiz. Man he is slow. Although Hopi for US looked pretty slow too. That guy shouldn’t see the field again.
CR had a bunch of mid to late 30 yr olds out there at the end. Looked like a Sat. Night coaches league game. US has defensive issues and on offense doesn’t seem to consistently want to attack effectively, preferring to prance (over dribble) and make meaningless passes instead. Just not a fan of GB. Not a fan of McKennie either. Too much dribbling. But, will watch and pull for them anyhow. Reyna, Pepi, Pulisic, either GK, Adams, Dest are the core that gives them a chance. Liked Weah at times last night but he also gets lacks at times. Great talent, but not sure heart is there. Anyhow, onto the next match. |
| A lot of missed chances in that final bit, sure it didn't matter then but against Mexico if they can't capitalize on the few opportunities they get, we'll be steamrolled. |
It will come down to the lineup. If USA puts out it's best 11 then they can compete with and beat Mexico. This Mexican team is not as good as the one that was in the last World Cup. That said, Coach Gregg likes to tinker and you never know who will be available. I would think some of the Europe base players didn't come this go round, because they will be more needed in November vs. Mexico. |
