| PPA really sucks this year - so many coaches just don’t show up to practice or games. Can anyone please recommend another decent league for recreational soccer. For 2nd and 3rd graders. Ideally in NW DC or Bethesda/CC Maryland. Thank you in advance! |
| SAM Soccer (Germantown soccerplex home?) or some MSI/MSI classic team. |
| That’s terrible! Has this been your experience with rec or premier? We have not had this experience and my kids play collectively on 3 PPA teams. |
Same here -- two kids, two coaches, and they have been super committed. Sorry you haven't had a good experience, OP. Have you raised this with the folks guys who run it? |
| Definitely msi - Germantown is too far a hike. |
| This has been our experience too unfortunately. I think if your child is on a higher team your experience is probably okay but developmental/rec... I would do MSI or Stoddert. |
| We had the same experience for years. So irritating. We moved to the newly renamed Stoddert. Greet, coach is a parent but they have refs and full size fields! |
+1 |
+1 for the Club formerly known as Stoddert: https://www.dcsoccerclub.org/ |
| Wait, the coach just...doesn’t show up? Are they parent volunteers? That is so weird. |
| I love PPA Premiere...we've had a great experience with two kids...but I'm not sure why you'd pay their price for rec. |

Basketball program is even worse if you can believe it.

Not just a this year thing. We had the experience of coaches not showing up pre-covid. |
| Their U13 Premier team is one of the top five teams in the nation, so someone is doing something right there - experience aside. |
| MSI has a huge, well organized program |
