First Ultrasound following IVF

I have my first ultrasound today at exactly 7 weeks following 3 blood tests that doubled as expected. I assume that I am supposed to see a heartbeat today, is that right? Ugh, I am so nervous and I have to wait until 3:30 to go to my RE's office!

I think that by 7 weeks you should see a heartbeat (and you may find out that you're expecting twins). If you google "ultrasound 7 weeks pregnant," you'll get lots of examples. Good luck -- waiting for that first u/s made me so nervous!

Oh yeah, heartbeat should be there! My RE saw it at 6w3d. Good luck

My 1st ultrasound following IVF is scheduled for next week at 7 weeks also. I am very nervous as I have had two miscarriages after seeing the heartbeat (no fertility treatments). I am hoping this one is a keeper and that we see one or two strong heartbeats next week. I hope all went well!

Yes, at 7 weeks you should see a h/b. Often it can be seen at 6 but they don't do it then because if you don't see it at 6, it can still happen and everthing can be fine (it's just too much stress if you don't see anything yet). GL!
