Female. Married at 39. Stopped using BC a few months before the wedding. Started infertility treatments about 9 months after the wedding. Those didn’t work. Got pregnant on my own between treatments and had kids at 41 and 44. There were a couple of m/c’s in there too.
Married at 35, started trying 6 months later, ended up having a baby at 38 (almost 39) through IVF.

Female. Met at 34. Engaged and married when I was 35 and he was 37. Neither had ever been married previously. Decided not to try for kids until after we’d been married a year. Best decision ever! Got pregnant very quickly after going off birth control. Consulted with doc and was on prénatal vitamins prior to conception. Pg at 38, first child at 39. Started trying again at 41, then lost two pregnancies. One was a miscarriage and second was a fetus with abnormalities incompatible with life so I had a “medical termination” aka abortion at a hospital with my regular ob/GYN. Had to wait six months before trying to conceive again. Thankfully got pregnant again pretty quickly. People often comment about the age difference - 4.5 years. Second child was born when I was 43. They keep us young! We’ve been married 22 years, kids are 19 and 14.

Married at 37. Started trying just before the wedding and got pregnant first try - lost that one to miscarriage. Pregnant again in a few months, lost that one to ectopic. Pregnant again a few months later, had to terminate due to severe abnormalities. Then couldn't conceive for a long time; did IVF, which didn't work; tried a few other medical interventions; finally gave up and stopped trying. Had surprise baby when I was 42 and won't have any more.
