immune testing

Anonymous
ladies, do you know of any RE in this area who believes in immune testing (after repeated ivf failures, etc.)?

We went to the Sher Institute in New Jersey. It was a 3.5 hour drive. Totally worth it though. Had major immune issues (due to hypothyroidism) and would have never gotten pregnant without their immune testing and follow up solution.

Don't know locally, but a friend found out, after 10 IUI's and 4 miscarriages, that she had a gluten sensitivity. So, she went on a gluten free diet, and 3 months later got pregnant naturally with a beautiful little girl. Tried the same thing again and had another healthy girl at age 43. She went to a homeopathic doctor to get this info.

My RE didn't believe in it, but after a few IVF failures he did let me run through some testing panels with Millenova (RPL, implantation failure, dna fragmentation). I also did a phone consult with Dr. Coulam to review the results (which showed some minor immune issues).

how did your RE handle the minor issues? did he change your protocol? or were the issues too insignificant?
were you successful in getting pregnant?

DH had borderline high sperm fragmentation so he started vitamins/antioxidants (proceptin).

I had slightly high NK cells/activation and dr coulam rec'd intralipids or ivig. At the time intralipds weren't as easily available (for IF) so we would have had to travel to Chicago for treatment (my RE wouldn't do it). So I took high levels of high quality fish oil (Nordic naturals 4g).

At the same time we saw a new RE (CRMI/Cornell) and he tried a new protocol (antagonist).

Some combination of those changes (or just luck) resulted in our first BFP.
