| I’m thinking about applying to Lab for my 4th grader next year. At $50k+ do they give out substantial aid? |
| No, |
| Dang |
| Try Siena or McLean? |
| OP: Siena and Mclean giver better FA? |
| OP, head to the special needs board. More experienced posters there. But in the end, your just going to have to ask the schools about FA. |
| Some school systems will pay for Lab. |
…lol no |
This is true but it takes a lot of IEP failures and years of proof |
| There's no FA in Lab. If you get your county to help you could do that. |
Lab, Siena, and McLean are all different -- maybe first figure out which one (or more than one) is right for your child. Plus they are all in different locations. All three schools are expensive, so many parents ask about to pay for it. Good luck, OP. |
Which ones |
| DCPS, MCPS, PGPS, Arlington, Alexandria, and Fairfax all fund students at Lab. Typically takes an attorney to get districts to agree. |
| I have a friend who makes at least $150k and her husband also works (not sure how much) and they got a small amount of FA from Lab. They have 2 kids. So it is possible, but the question is whether they would give you enough to let you afford it. |
This is false. Lab school has a healthy financial aid budget. Does it cover the entire cost? Absolutely not but there is aid available |
