| It would be nice if they'd just take that money and lower the tuition for everyone to make it more affordable. |

The school with the 22% of its students from the one percent and an 8.5 billion dollar endowment took this long to become need blind?

Not being need blind is a good way to ensure that your graduates have a greater chance of success and, in turn, donate. If you need tie breaker between two students, the kid whose dad can write a check each year is much more likely to end up successful than the kid who will graduate 150k in debt. |
What. Lol has that ever happened. |
| Great. If you want to go to school in St. Louis |
St. Louis is a super fun city for a college student - I'm sure it's 1000x more fun now than it was when I was there 20 years ago! |
Same. Wasn't there another "Breaking" thread about Northwestern getting a huge donation? Neither of these stories probably effects 95% of DCUMers--at least not to the point where we need to drop everything and read. |
You mean affects. The stories don't AFFECT readers. |
First, going need blind for admissions has no effect on what you refer to. Second, under what you propose, who will not be able to attend who currently can go, and who will be able to attend who currently can't? It is a zero sum game. |
