Transfer merit scholarships?

Anonymous
My son is planning on transferring to a school closer to home (<3 hours away) and we're looking for schools that are generous with scholarships for transfer students.

He is a sophomore at a T50 in California (that I will not name for privacy reasons) and is in the 3.5~3.75 GPA range. Also we don't live in Virginia or Maryland.

Since we don't know where you are, how are we supposed to help you with schools closer to your home? Go have another cup of coffee and repost.

Highly unlikely to receive a transfer scholarship. They simply don’t exist.

Another option: long for a naturally cheap English-language bachelor’s in Europe in a place with a low cost of living:

Let him go to your state college.

Some schools actually post in their website how much merit $ they will give to a student with a certain gpa/standardized test score - whether a combo or either/or. Not sure how those scales apply to transfers, but that could be a place to start your inquiries.
