Opt-in screening results back yet?

Anonymous
Has anyone's school reported any results yet from the opt-in COVID screening tests? My understanding is that they were starting it at schools last week (I think Wednesday), so it seems weird that there haven't been results released yet.
Thanks.

45 kids got sent home from my child's 5th-grade class last week due to positives from the screening test. The test was given on Monday, results were given Thursday morning with all kids required to pick up early Thursday before lunch. Kids are out all week and are allowed to return on Monday.

Our ES did a round of tests the week of September 13. Zero kids tested positive. As a parent it was helpful to get the results so quickly.

Precautionary screening testing has been rolled out at each elementary school. Of the 5,826 tests that had been administered as of Tuesday, 11 had returned a positive result (0.19% positivity rate), D’Andrea said.

Is that 45 positives? Or 45 quarantines from how many positives?

I mean, my personal child's result was emailed to me, but I'm not sure that's what you're asking.

They should be testing all kids.

And this is why I didn’t opt in. I’ll opt in if they would actually follow their own close contact definition instead of sending entire classes home, or once they get test-to-stay running.

Huh, my kid was tested last week and this week, and we didn't receive the results last week. I was assuming we wouldn't hear anything unless it was positive, but that's interesting you received your child's result. Who sent them to you? Was it your school or the testing company?

Not the PP but my child was tested Monday and I had results in my email from the company on Wednesday.

Thanks for the info -- I just emailed the company to find out why we didn't receive results. Last month when my kid was quarantined due to a contact at school we started getting emails from Cleared4Work, which seems to also be associated with the testing company, asking for a daily health update from my child, but without any further information. I turned off email notifications from that site, and I wonder if doing that changed something, or if we were somehow entered incorrectly into the testing company's website in the first place. Hopefully they can clear it up. Glad to realize from this thread that we should be getting the results.

Why?

My kids have been tested more than once, and I’ve never received the results (kids just told me they were given the test). My assumption has been that the company sends the results to the school, and I’d only hear something from the school if a test comes back positive.

That's what I assumed, but after reading the responses posted here I went back and looked at the consent form we signed and it said "Your child’s test result will be provided to you". https://www.cognitoforms.com/CIANDiagnostics1/MCPSMarylandDepartmentOfHealthCIANDiagnosticsIndividualCOVID19TestingConsentOptInForm2

We got an email a few days after the test, with a negative result.
