Why was the soccer thread about the abusive coach deleted?

I started the discussion asking for input on what to do about abusive behavior by an opposing coach toward his players that appears to now be deleted. Wondering why? Thanks.

I am sorry to hear it was deleted. We had to deal with an abusive coach, and I think it’s helpful to discuss what to do. I couldn’t persuade the other parents to leave and had to wait until they were ready. They thought the coach could or would change, but the problem runs deep.

Afterward, parents felt traumatized and could not stop taking about it. I was not as traumatized, because I had seen worse. I knew how they felt because I am, sadly, quite familiar with such verbal abuse. I say bring the topic into the light of day and share strategies for what to do.

I’m grateful that the kids got through it, and it took a lot of conversation and giving them space to vent to get everyone through it.

Posters had started discussing specific coaches which is problematic. It is not really fair for anonymous posters to talk negatively about identifiable people. I removed several such posts, but kept having to return to remove more. It looked like you were going to get all the useful feedback you were going to get anyway.
