DS going stag; get him a boutonnière?

Anonymous
Sophomore DS has decided to go stag with a bunch of friends. Should we (his parents) get him a boutonnière for his jacket? Or will that seem ridiculous because it’s not coming from a date?

What?

Assuming this is for homecoming, right? Ask him to ask the friends what they are doing but I would think skip it.

However, it's possible the group ends up as a coed group and there is a match-up. In other words, it happens he ends up with a date. Just doesn't tell you. Till very last minute and he needs a corsage.

For homecoming? Nah. Even for prom I wouldn’t do parent flowers.

Don't make him that kid.
