Guest for volunteer award ceremony

We have a group of volunteers that served the community as part of non profit organization. Can you please suggest who could possibly be the best invite to attend this with like 7-10 teen volunteers and their friends and families. It would be great to have a public official be present for this ceremony. Would you suggest who could be the approachable contact that could be on for this ceremony? Am afraid house of Reps and others could be super busy. Any advice appreciated.

What jurisdiction is the organization in? If in DC, you can probably get a Council Member to attend.

| You would also consider inviting the head of municipal agencies related to the work of the NGO. So if it is education/tutoring, perhaps the school superintendent or member of the board of education. If social services, perhaps the head of a welfare agency. Etc. |
