in school transmission in Travilah ES?

There seem to be quite a few cases during the same time period. Three cases in a first grade class, and now a staff/student member.

I sure hope you have more info than that to post such a topic.

DP. There’s a notification just today. I think the Op is fine.

All I see is the form letter we get every other day. Is there more than that?
I just don’t think it’s helpful to speculate.

We've received 6 notifications of positive cases at Travilah in the last 8 days.

How do you know there were three cases in the same class? The letters don’t ever say who or where the cases were.

Did the school inform you of this, or are you going on word of mouth?

Agree. Not helpful to speculate. Also not helpful that the letters don't say # of cases that test positive on a given day or grade and we have to rely on our own networks to figure out what the heck is going on.

Frankly, any of the schools that have multiple cases in a 2 day time frame are probably happening because of exposure within the school

Eh. I don’t think you can conclude that. Lots of kids play together with neighborhood kids/classmates outside of school.

Or have extracurricular activities like sports, or siblings in different schools. Individual kids could be getting it from all sorts of places other than school. You can’t conclude anything about in-school transmission unless the contact tracing shows an epidemiological link.

Exactly. Kids in sports are not wearing masks, and all over each other.

Kids in Montgomery County are having a significant impact on our daily case counts.

What do you consider “significant,” and where are you getting your data? I see you, or someone parroting you, posting this on all sorts of threads without any substantiation.
