Breast tenderness 2ww

Anonymous
Let's just start by saying I never have this during my cycle. Only time I felt breast pain was when I was pregnant with my son. I am about 10 dpo and don't know if it's too early to be feeling breast tenderness or if this could be something else.

we are on exactly the same calendar, OP. i have had the same symptom (and just posted about my triphasic chart this morning).

here's hoping for both of us!

That was the first symptom I felt for both pregnancies. I never felt it either during my cycle. Good luck!

I don't mean to be snarky, but I really don't get why people write to this forum asking if X is a symptom of pregnancy. If you are feeling a symptom of pregnancy and you are 10dpo, just pee on a stick. If you are feeling the symptoms and they truly are symptoms, you'll get a BFP.

Here you are just going to get lots of statements that "yes, that is a symptom" which might make you excited, but its not an answer. And, it will just get your hopes up if its wrong.

Just test!

And, I really do hope you are right. FWIW, that was the same symptoms I had with mine at 10dpo -- and I tested and got a BFP.

I had the symptom but didn't get a BFP until 13 dpo, so don't get dismayed yet the test isn't positive.

I started feeling nauseous 4-5 days after conception. (And it continued, so it wasn't some random stomach flu or some other coincidence). I really don't think a pregnancy test would've shown a positive at that point.

If you have enough hormones circulating in your system to cause symptoms, you have enough to trigger at BFP. At 4-5 days after ovulation the embryo is not implanted in your uterus yet, so as far as your body is concerned you are not pregnant. There is no way the pregnancy is causing the symptoms (if you were not doing fertility treatments you may have miscalculated your O date. If you were doing fertility treatments maybe the drugs caused the feeling). An embryo that is no yet implanted is not causing tender breasts, nausea, fatigue or that funny feeling in your belly button. Anyone who tells you they knew they were pregnant the day after they had sex is full of it -- or more likely they had a very selective memory, they probably though they were pregnant a bunch of times and once they were right.

The embryo should implant around day 7 or 8 and you'll quickly feel symptoms after that. For me the tip-off was incredible fatigue and the need to pee every 20 minutes. By 10 DPO you should have a positive line if you are feeling symptoms. If you implant later than your symptoms will come later and your BFP will come later.

Not true. The hormone levels that cause pregnancy symptoms may not be high enough for detection on a HPT. It is common to have symptoms a few days before the levels are detectable in a HPT.
