| What are your thoughts on comforty of driver's seat in 2021 Subaru Crosstrek, preferably a cloth seat? |
| The seats are great. The problem is the Crosstrek can’t stuff you into them when you depress your right foot. It’s the most underpowered car I’ve ever owned. It needs *at LEAST* 150 additional horsepower. It’s a heavy, all wheel drive car, with the same power-to-weight ratio of an eBike. |
| The Crosstrek is just a lifted Impreza. More cost and worse MPG than the Impreza too. Are you off-roading so much that you need the lift? |
| I have a 2021 Sport (much better engine than the basic model). Plenty of pep and comfortable front seating. Be prepared to pay close to MSRP. |
DP Yes, I am. The road to our weekend property is rutted gravel for the last 2 miles. A regular Impreza would be dragging it’s belly in dozens of places. Not having to buy a new oil pan or transmission cover plate every few months more than makes up for the 3-4 mpg we give up. Plus, the car looks better aesthetically with the slight lift. The Impreza looks like it’s a low-rider with drop springs installed. Dumb looking. |
Yeah, that additional 18 hp is total game changer! /S |
The Sport & Limited have 30 extra HP. I wish they would put the turbocharger on the Crosstrek. That would be a fun little rocket! |
Yeah, I'll bet that extra 3 inches of ground clearance makes a huge difference. PP is right. The Crosstrek is a dumb car that is worse than the Impreza in every single way, except those three inches of ground clearance. It's a remarkable testament to the gullibility of the American consumer that Subaru manages to sell even one of them. |
| I have the leather seats (I wanted heaters) and I've driven 90K miles. Very comfortable seat. |
The imprezza brand has street racing cars in it. It was twice the cost annually to insure it compared to the Crosstrek. |
That's not how insurance works. The Civic brand has street racing cars in it too, but Civics aren't expensive to insure unless you're actually insuring an Si or Type R. |
| I have a 2015 crosstrek with cloth seats and it's pretty comfortable. We don't drive it a lot, but a combination of long road trips, short trips within or near the Beltway, and 1-2 hours to go hiking (where sometimes the extra clearance helps). I haven't felt like it's underpowered but have never owned an SUV or larger/sportier car--our last car was a Pontiac Vibe and this is similar. My sister and best friend both have Imprezas and they're fine too but the extra height is nice--we've also found that elderly/mobility-challenged folks . Our Crosstrek is a hybrid and it doesn't get great mileage but more than the regular version. |
You sound like a true dumbass. I mean like an actual, genuine dumbass. The rarer kind of dumbass - one that’s not only dumb, but also mouthy. |
