| I just saw my cat pee in the corner of a room on the hardwood floor. Can anyone help me understand why he just did that? We have 3 litter boxes and 3 cats. |
| UTI? |
|
There are many reasons why he might have done that. He may have a UTI, crystals or stones which are causing pain. He might be stressed or being bullied by one of the other cats. He might dislike the feel or scent of the litter. There might be some other reason. You should start by taking him to the vet to rule out a physical ailment.

Thank you for this response. |

It could possibly be diabetes.
I would take him to a vet. |
| Cats w a uti often look for a cool surface to urinate on. Check your tub drains too. |
| Take him to the vet. Cats are naturally fastidious creatures and sudden changes in litter box habits mean something is wrong. |

three litterboxes not enough for three cats! try at least 5 and put them on different levels of the house or different areas. Also try Dr.Elsey's cat attract litter. Try OPEN top boxes (many cats don't like the closed top. most of all make sure your boxes are CLEAN
C LEAN CLEAN- cats are clean animals and will avoid dirty boxes. |
+1. Three boxes for three cats is disgusting. You should have one more litter box than you have cats, at a minimum. |
