This is s/o from a FCPS thread. It is supposedly a nationwide problem thanks to Tiktok's "devious licks" trends. Are your schools having this issue? If so how is it being addressed? |
Bold of you to assume we have soap on our bathrooms in the first place. |
Haha. But true. There was a flu breakout a few years ago at McKinley-right before Covid. Turns out there was no soap in the bathrooms. Kid were washing their hands with just water. |
We are in MCPS but they caught a bunch of kids vandalizing the bathroom due to this devious licks thing—caught on security camera. |
there are cameras in the bathrooms? |
Yes, middle school thing. They have closed most of the bathrooms down to prevent it from happening |
None in mine's HS.
DD reports that the MS has preemptively closed the bathrooms. They are only freely open during lunch and class changes with a monitor. I asked what happens if you need to use the toilet during class and she said, "I dunno." So, yeah. |
are you in takoma park middle school |
Yes, there was an announcement about this at Hammond (ACPS). |
How can they close down bathrooms for the entire school day? |
They have one bathroom open for the entire middle school so they can monitor it and to repair damage to other bathrooms |
Ha, yes. It’s the devious lick challenge right? My kids came home yesterday talking about it. Kids stole hand sanitizers, bathroom mirrors, hand dryers. God knows what else. We are in California though, not DMV. |
Incoming lawsuit |
Oops, sorry, I see this is a VA public school thread! |
Kids stole a toilet at ACHS Minnie Howard. A toilet! |
