Waiting for beta results

I had a beta drawn this morning. I've had several + HPTs over the past few days, but still, I am SO anxious to get my results.
I'm at work, so that *should* keep me distracted, but I'm having major trouble focusing on anything. How do you get through the day waiting for "the call?" Ugh - I can't believe it's only 9:40am! |

| I was in your position last week and I know how hard it is. I also had several + HPTs before my beta but was so anxious to get the results. Luckily, my nurse called me by 1:30 for all three beta test results and it was good news. Having the positive HPT should make you feel a little less anxious. Now I have to wait another week before my 1st ultrasound! The waiting never seems to end. Congratulations! |

If anyone has any advice on how not to drive myself insane waiting for my beta day, I would appreciate it. I am currently 5 days past my 3 day transfer and if you asked me yesterday I would have told you that I was sure it worked. I had really heavy, sore boobs and bloating and cramping. Today the boobs are way less heavy and sore, but I still have some of the cramping and bloating. I'm thinking that some of that might be coming from the intestines, though. I am an absolute nutcase right now.

(I really hope they call by 1:30. My nurse is out of town so hopefully someone else will remember to call me - I'm worried they're going to forget about me!) |

OP here.
They called about half an hour ago. My beta is 623 at 16dpo!!!! I am SOOO excited! We have been TTC for 14 cycles, with 4 failed medicated IUIs and 2 chemical pregnancies, and this was my "rest" cycle before moving on to IVF. And I'm almost 40. Thank you God!!! |
