This does NOT beat firing a gun at a soccer tournament, but last weekend, we took one of the kids to his (and our) very first youth tackle football game. It wasn't my son's team or opponent. I'm not sure even the team but the team entered the field and their half dozen coaches were all dressed in Camo bottoms. Army brown T-shirts with something written on them. Black caps. Shades. cranking heavy metal music. The team was I think 9 or 10 year olds. What a bunch of meatheads these coaches are. This whole dog and pony show is so for these has been players than it is for these little kids. Sad.

And another gun incident at a Salt Lake City tournament.

“ People screamed “active shooter” as parents and players ran to take cover behind cars in the parking lot after the man retrieved the gun from his car on Saturday afternoon, the Deseret News reported.

Ultimately no shots were fired, but it was terrifying for many who were there.

“It was pretty traumatizing,” said parent Megan Perkins. “My kid is pretty shaken.”
