| It looks like one of the front wheel bearings is bad and will need to be replaced. Has anyone had to do this recently? I'm trying to see how much I should expect to pay. I'm in MoCo, thanks! |
I paid $500 at Caddie dealer recently. It is mainly labor so a local mechanic might be $350-$400 |

I replaced mine myself (needed 3). Would’ve cost about $2,000 at the shop. I spent $400 on parts, and it took about a day.
The hardest part is getting the old hub unit out of the suspension knuckle. If you’re lucky, a puller tool will work. If not (I wasn’t) you have to build or buy a “hub blaster” device. I had to, and it worked amazing. The rest of the job is very easy. |
