How old until you "hand off" control of kid's social media accounts?

I know one mother still tweets and posts instagram photos of her 9th grader daughter. And I know another who curates her 10th grade daughter's instagram. I get monitoring the social media accounts -- until 16 or so? -- but a 40-something adult literally posting from them when the kid is now 14 or 15 y/o? Seems a bit much.

I don’t know anyone who does that. If my kid is old enough to have a social media account, they are old enough to control it themselves.

Mine both asked me to stop posting any photos of them by late elementary school from my account so I did. It was more that everything I said and did was embarrassing at that point. But it was a good age to stop posting photos of my kids online for all to see.

OP, c’mon! You know no one really does that! Why post as if that’s “a thing” —??

Parents creating and having password/account access to tween's accounts is hardly abnormal. At what age should such control stop is the question.
