| Where is everyone playing this weekend? How is everyone feel their team will do in their respective divisions and league? |
**does** |
|
Just excited to see them play!
Secretly hoping my kid does great. |
Umm, it is no longer a secret now. |
|
Looking forward to it but nervous
DS was getting pushed around in Spring. DH enrolled him in Brazilian jiu jutsu to become accustomed to contact and he spent the summer with a personal trainer focusing on his “strength in play” and “technique to respond” I am hoping this all goes well and is not making ga bigger problem |
| Carolina teams heading up north to play VDA... first meeting of VA vs Carolinas since 2019. |
| No. My kid has an injury and can't play for a while, we are both really bummed. |
We already have had two tournaments and two Fall league games .
|
This is literally every parent for their child in every aspect of life the child goes through. |
“Literally”. Is it? Really? Douche. |
FFS. Who ever thinks "I hope my kid does shitty." AT ANYTHING IN LIFE?! You want them to have fun, do their best and you hope they do well (but you don't lay those neurosis or live vicariously through them). It's sad to see your kid's disappointment, but it is part of life and a learning experience. Hopefully, you have equipped them with grit and perseverance and they correlate hard work with improvement. |
| Probably half of the games out there still need refs, so good for you if you have a referee this weekend. |
I'm sorry. I hope he has a speedy recovery. |
Thanks Captain Obvious. The poster was simply expressing their hope. Again, Douche. |
Team did good, new players closed a few of our gaps from last season and the old core of the team closed out the other team's offense. My kid did fine, not amazing, but well and had fun. We all secretly hope our kid is a standout player, while reassuring them that we don't. Overall a great first game, one I enjoyed greatly. The Fall chill in the air is a fresh take after a long hot summer. |
