DC Metro Busses - When Back to Normal Schedules so Kids Can Take to School?

Has the reduction of service on DC Metro bus routes impacted anyone else's kids trying to get to school? My teens both rely on the Mass Ave busses and those routes are running half as often as they did prior to the pandemic. Wondering if the city has plans to get busses back to where they were before the pandemic or if we are going to have to drive and add to the horrendous traffic and pollution. Anyone know?

They have decided to run more frequent, empty buses at times during the day when demand is low and less frequent buses at times when demand is high. Some guys on the internet told them that this was the way to go and so they did it. WMATA won’t get serious again until their federal bailout funds are used it. So it will be like this for another year until they face another revenue cliff and then they’ll decide that restoring more frequent rush hour service on Mass Ave will be important again.
