Pajama Day?

That's a good point and pajama pants are just so comfortable for lounging.

Why can’t every day be pajamas day?

They aren't wearing boxer shorts/topless or a twin set negligee OP.

Its flannel pants and a hoodie, basically the same thing most high school kids wear every day.

At most high schools, every day is pajama day.

I think it's an unnecessary tradition. It's not like many teens wear super formal clothes to begin with so I don't see the big need to drees down. Plus many teen boys probably don't even own pajamas because they don't sleep in them.

It kind of already is.

I think a great many boys are wearing little to no attire to bed by the time they’re in high school, let alone formal sleepwear, so your son seems pretty typical. But this is really just like an ugly sweater day where you buy something you wouldn’t normally wear for the occasion. If your son thinks it’s lame (I agree), then just don’t participate. Not everyone does.

Yes I agree. It really is quite simple.

Pajama Day is a theme day, not "wear what you sleep in day". My son is 8 and started sleeping in just his underwear when he was 7. I suggested he try going without pajamas during the summer, and he decided to keep sleeping that way. However, for pajama day we bought some cute Minecraft pajamas for him to wear. His school has a lot of theme days, and Pajama Day is no different than a special outfit for Valentine's Day, etc.

Is this really a thing in many schools? When you think about how casual many students dress in their daily life, it doesn't really make sense.

If your child thinks it’s lame and doesn’t want to participate why are you here crowdsourcing ?

You are right, so why should they wear something to school they never wear anywhere else?
