| Just came back from a tour of my town's gym (wellness center). It has to have a couple of million dollars worth of the latest Cybex fitness equipment but only five shower stalls. I don't even have to mathematically model the queues to know in advance that the shower lines are long. Do you shower at the gym or wait until you get home? |
| Depends on the gym. The gum I belong to now (Lifetime Reston) has really nice showers (probably 20 stalls) so sometimes I’ll shower there if I’m not going straight home. At previous gyms, the showers haven’t been as nice so I never used them. |
| Home but I walk to the gym. If I was driving I’d shower first. |
| At the gym. I don’t want my car to get sweaty and gross. |
This. I walk to and from the gym so shower at home. |
| OP: I am 8 miles from town center. Too far to walk. Hills and traffic rule out cycling. |
|
Home.
Gym showers nasty. |
I live 3 blocks from my gym and work from home. |
| Shower at home, even if it means a drive. |
| Home. Much nicer to be near all my things and put on my bathrobe post-shower. Plus I don’t need to remember to also bring clean clothes. I’d likely forget to pack underwear or a bra, or even worse, shoes and I’d have to put sweaty shoes and socks back on. |
| I’ve never showered at a gym. Always at home. |
| Most of the time at home - even if I have to drive. Rarely at the gym. |
| Home. I’ve been in the shower when two people start hooking up in one of the stalls. |
| Gym. I go in the morning and then continue on to work. To come back home would be going in the wrong direction for me. |
Ditto. |
