Are any car rentals on site at San Jose airport?

Online it appears they all require a shuttle. Please let me know if I am missing something!

Generally people coming to SF aren't flying into San Jose. They fly into Oakland or SFO.

All the major car rentals are on site there. The airport is small too so I can’t imagine taking a shuttle.

Those of us who use Southwest Air fly into San Jose and drive or take the train into SF.

San Jose airport's car rental is so convenient! Just walk over and get your car; it couldn't be easier!

You should be using Oakland. Much more convenient to downtown SF.

I used to prefer Oakland. Shorter train trip but BART has gotten pretty gross. BART lets you stay on the train all day so the homeless are camping out on the trains now. CALTRAIN requires passes so this isn't happening there yet.

San Jose has two terminals. We just rented a car there. If you fly into terminal B, you’ll take a shuttle to the other side of the airport for the car at terminal A. It’s easy and pretty quick.

Everything’s been remodeled recently, you can walk between terminals. The rental car area is closest to terminal B , super convenient. You rent at the ground level counter and then take an elevator to whatever garage level they direct you to based on rental company then you’ll pick up a car and you’re done .

And SJC is almost always the easiest Bay Area airport to Usenet- less delays (sfo has weather issues and is ancient, Oakland airport is ok s long as you don’t get out of your car - very bad area)
