Truck drivers are running over people on bikes in New York, and New York is responding by issuing tickets to and confiscating e-bikes.
Let's not follow their example. |
"Nightmare?"
Whatever, Grandma... |
| Some guy in Tampa purposely rode a scooter in front of a truck recently, purposely to kill himself by suicide. |
He could have just walked in front of the truck and saved the scooter charge. |
He could have done that on a bike. https://www.abcactionnews.com/news/region-hillsborough/bicyclist-hit-and-killed-by-dump-truck-in-hillsborough-county |
| I don't care what you people say those scooters are the best. I get motion sickness and CANNOT cab it. They let me get around fast and happily in the fresh air. I am very careful and respectful of pedestrians and always park in an appropriate location. |
| I wouldn't be caught dead on a scooter. Different strokes I guess but they are ridiculous. |
Totally agree. I thought only tourists used those things. |
OK, then you don't have to ride one. |
| I cannot stand how cluttered up they make my neighborhood appear. |
But cars parked all over are cool with you? |
Cars are parked in designated spaces. If they were randomly left on the sidewalk or the street, people would have big problems with it. Same with the scooters. The problem is they’re left lying around. If they had docks, it wouldn’t be as much of a problem. It’s a private industry taking advantage of public space. |
| Saw a couple of them abandoned on the Roosevelt Bridge the other day. In the right lane. |
What a strange perspective. I honestly can’t comprehend the resistance. And no, I’ve never been on one either simply because I don’t have the need. |
