Shorts with tights?

I like the look of it, but is it really practical? Are people actually wearing this combination?

For the very young set with great legs and who are slim, I think it is fine. For others, no way. And do not wear longer shorts with tights-- very 80s (and I did it then, and it was ugly)

I LOVE this look and have always missed it...
Until recently, I was watching that show "Accidently on Purpose" and there was a mid-20's actress who was sporting black short (darker shorts) with dark tights.

I thought, YES! It's back!

A couple of preschoolers in my son's class have this look, and I think it works great for them. Adults...not so mcuh.

Im sort of a believer in Fashion not having an "age" associated with it. Granted, onsies and bibs are one thing. But why box ourselves in, ladies??

It's not to my taste, but very young women maybe able to pull off the look.

I spent my 80's wearing khakis and dress shirts and was secretly relieved my mom wouldn't let me have true 80's fashion. It was hideous then, and it's even worse now. It just proves that if we don't learn from history we are doomed to repeat it.

Don't know your age, OP, but in general, it is too young a look for those past college age. I'm all for "ageless dressing" but there are some things that you really want to be careful wearing. You want people admiring how you look, not having your clothing detract from you.

Remember the old adage - "If you wore it back then, you shouldn't be revisiting the look again." ? A touch of something is OK, wearing the whole look is a different matter.

HI-larious! I did this in the 80s and I thought I just killed the look. Now I see pictures of myself from those days (complete with red lipstick, pale face, big hoops, and a beret) and I want to weep...
