| I'm just wondering. I'm in my mid 30s, so I'm wondering when I'm going to wake up with a ton of grays. |
| 28 |
Just recently been seeing a few . . . I'm 36.
|
| OP here. I'm wondering because I just know I'm going to be clueless about coloring, so I'm not looking forward to it. |
| At 36 they really started in earnest for me. |
| 18. I have been dyeing my hair for 20 years!!!!!!!!!!! |
|
41 and just started noticing a few gray strands that I need to pluck.
|
| 25! |
| 44, UGH! |
| I am 47 and none yet. Not sure why but I am not complaining. |
|
I'm 36 and the last person to cut my hair said I'm about 40% gray. Thanks, dad.
In college my roommate was looking over my shoulder while I was typing something and said, "There's a gray hair! And another one! And another. . . " But not really noticeable until around late 20s, I guess? |
| 40 when I saw my first white hair waving back at me in the mirror. I only have a few, and they're only noticeable when I let my roots go too long - their whiteness really pops against the mouse-fur color of my hair. I pluck them as soon as I find one. Not sure which annoys me more, my mouse-fur colored roots or the white hairs! |

I started plucking a few around 34 and have a lot of anxiety about how quickly the graying process might accelerate. I'm almost 36 now... it's still in the pluckable stage at the moment, but it will be another couple of years before I'll be able to afford proper salon coloring.
On the other hand, my mother was noticeably graying at 28. I know this because I asked her when my father was present. She said she wasn't sure, maybe late 20s. He responded, "28," with resentful certainty. |
Wow, resentful as in he didn't like it that she grayed so early? Yikes.... |
What PP said. Talk about sexist and shallowness. |
