Have you watched clips of Capote IRL? The performance is spot on.

The affectation is spot on, but I recently watched some older videos of interviews with him, and he had a charm that the actor in this series doesn’t convey. I’m sure he was often catty, but he was also often effacing at times. In the show he comes off as always arrogant and mean.

Don’t tell me how to act in my aleé, darling.

LOL! I loved that line and had to rewind it to hear it again. But white blond hair aside, Sevigny looks nothing like the real CZ Guest who was absolutely gorgeous.

I mean, they went for big names over likenesses -- Diane Lane has a Slim Keith vibe but doesn't look like her, Molly Ringwald looks nothing like Joanne Carson, Calista Flockhart looks like Calista, not Lee Radziwell.

Naomi Watts does wind up looking like Babe Paley but the hair is doing a LOT of work there. Though she's also just nailing some of the mannerisms and expressions.

Molly Ringwald looks nothing like Molly Ringwald. Is that reality or the styling for the role?

Obviously they wouldn't go for likeness. No one knew what the hell CZ Guest looked like. It's 2024.

That line and “he gave me a gorgeous courgette”

Was anyone else surprised/disgusted by Slim having an affair with Bill Paley? Did that happen in real life? Otherwise what was the point in introducing it in the story?

She is so outraged about how Truman treated Babe, but has no problem sleeping with her cancer stricken "good friend's" husband?

Totally agree with this

Gross. And at the same time, bullying Babe into not forgiving Truman, who was the actual love of her life.

I saw the credit for Molly Ringwald, and I said “Molly Ringwald was in that?” I had to go back to her scenes and I still didn’t recognize her.

Please don’t take everything you see on tv as fact. Bill Paley and Slim Keith were both known for sleeping around, so it’s possible they did, but I looked it up and there is no evidence that they had an affair.

Before this show, the only other thing I've seen her in was Bloodline. She was so good in that and was one of the reasons I wanted to check this show out.

She was amazing in Big Love on HBO
