Over the past few weeks, it has been a regular occurrence for our neighbors son across the street to smoke pot on his porch. wondering if we should say anything to his parents or even call the police. TYIA

Yes. Call the police anonymously.

It's just pot...don't ruin the kid's life by having him arrested. Try to alert the parents if you can, and they can deal with him.

No - leave the kid alone. Geez.
Do you even know the parents? Some of my friends allow their kid and his/her friends to smoke in the backyard.
Why would you call the cops?!

+ 1,000,000. Some people don't seem to realize the harm that they can cause to others just by being nosy busy bodies. Or they may realize, and actually enjoy it.

Parents, so they can protect him from busy bodies like you.

Pot is not an emergency. Talk to the parents or stay out of it.

Unless you have a burner phone, and go to another location to make the call, this is impossible.

no it's not, they will have your cell number but nothing else. Dispatchers can't get a name or address from a cell numbet without calling the phone company, And believe me were not going through all that for an anon call. Only time we do that is for a suicidal person that we need to locate.

either say something to the parent (if you trust the kid not to be vengeful) or myob.

Put an anonymous letter in the mailbox, then let them handle it.
