Maybe not perfect but I would not blame anyone for not having the perfect outfit to attend an outdoor memorial for people killed in a racist mass shooting. Hopefully we are not yet at the point where that is so predictable that every professional woman should have something sitting in her closet for it. I also appreciate that they came off the campaign trail for it and maybe there were more important things to do than an afternoon with a personal shopper/stylist.
I otherwise detest this couple but I am throwing no shade for this sad sundress, which is about right for this sad occasion.
I think any one of us - including me, who has worked from home for 15 years - could poke in our closets and find something other than this weird dress to wear to a memorial for people who died in a mass shooting. Especially, ESPECIALLY, given who they are and what this occasion was. This was the time to look perfectly appropriate. I guess we should just be glad she wasn't wearing a gold strapless dress with long white gloves and that FLORIDA: WHERE WOKE GOES TO DIE leather jacket.
