For anyone who needs a reminder of what happened on September 11, 2001 and why, I suggest you watch this documentary. It's on HULU but I'm sure you can find it elsewhere.

Interviews with families who talked with their loved ones stuck in the buildings, and photos and footage that was covered up because it was too 'horrific'.

It has ALWAYS been my firm belief that shielding the American people from that graphic detail was a very bad thing. It's produced a generation of young folks who have been lulled into complacency - and even empathy - for those who are hell-bent on destroying us. My kids WILL see this.

Learn about the Russian invasion of Afghanistan and how Bin Laden was once a US ally. Teach your kids about that. (Current unrest in the Middle East is more about our invasion of Afghanistan and Iraq.)

I don't know how old your kids are, so I have no opinion on whether they should see it. I thought it was a good movie, but I don't feel that the graphic details of what occurred on 9/11 was something that people were shielded from. Also, frankly, I think people have the right not to want their family members' last gory moments to be on display for others. I have heard the tape of the gentleman who was on the phone with 911 when the buildings collapsed. If that was my dad or husband, I would not want random people hearing it.

Please. Radical Islam is a huge threat, and we continue to placate and empathize with people who are taking advantage of our naive behavior. Blame it on America if you wish - but that won't help you if it's you or your loved ones who happen to be next.

One, no one is saying it's not a threat, but you should understand the roots. And two, I have experienced loss from 9/11.

In other words -- what I hear you saying is that by horrific end that the victims of 9/11 met, we will REALLY crack down on Islamic Radicals and that will enable us to "win" this War on Terrorism.

I'm saying that by protecting people from the horror, it allows them to hide. Part of that hiding is self-blame and an immature line of thinking, i.e. 'if we just understand them, we can fix this'.

Look at the way some of our military heroes have been treated - you have forgotten who wants you dead and who doesn't.

And regarding Cheney? Thank you for the complement.

My daughter came into the room as I was finishing up the documentary and said "Is this The Falling Man? I've watched this!" Good for her.
