LAMB AP's contract not renewed

Anonymous
Yes, Michelle for ED! An ED should view teachers, students and families as an asset and build relational trust, neither of which Charis does or has.

I think many families will leave without Michelle.

Ms. Alex is also amazing! ❤️❤️

I don’t know about the rest of your claims but his children do go to LAMB. My child is in the same community as one of them.

His kids do not go to lamb.

You’re thinking of someone else.

None of the lamb parents on the Board are Latino. I think there are only 1 or 2 people on the board that are Latino.

I’m glad we are done with lamb after this year. Charis is out of her depth and the Board looked confused and has already to rubber stamped all of her poor choices.

For those who didn’t attend, it was clear to me the chair and charis added equitable access preference to lamb without any plan on how to support those kids or get them to school. To me, it seemed like they wanted to add that to their resumes without any interest on how it will affect the school.

TR did the same damn thing!

If Lee doesn’t scoop her up first.

Greg is a horrible communicator. Michelle should have been principal. I’m glad that we only have one more year left at LAMB.

Greg is a non-communicator. I haven’t seen a single communication from him ever. Except maybe to tell me there’s a Covid case in our classroom
Is this normal for a principal to have ZERO communication with families? A lot of people at the school have no idea who he is.

It is very, very strange. Like zero communication. My emails to him go unread. He sends no school-wide connection. Had zero presence at the school. It’s extremely odd.

PP: I wonder if you have his address wrong. It is Gregory@lambpcs.org NOT Greg...

My (limited) understanding is that he is not allowed to post on parentsquare. Charis announced it in the beginning of the year that it would not be used to speak to them.

He is an extremely responsive warm guy. Call him or email him. I understand parentsquare posting is limited to only some of the bloated administrative staff.

I just talked to this AP Michelle today. I cannot imagine not having her at the school. Greg the principal is great but the rest of the administration doesn’t even respond to emails. You can ask for a dozen meetings via parentsquare or email (many which aren’t even published) and get no response. The only administrators who seem to be working are Greg and Michelle.

I’m just ready to pull my kid from LAMB over this, it’s that serious. Also I’ve had to visit the school a lot recently, and I’ve never once seen Charis there. Ever.

Was there any insight into why her contract is not being renewed?

Ask other parents.

There’s definitely something really rotten in the upper admin ie, Charis. I think it’s impacting those who aren’t her cronies ie, María José. Greg might be an ok principal if it weren’t for her, hard to say.

It is sad because she was hired essentially because she came across very humble and transparent and the school was sick of the prior shady behavior of admin. But look what’s happened. You have to have a thicker skin and be able to subject yourself to criticism to lead well.

LAMB doesn’t give a crap about parent and never will. It’s been going on for a while. Nothing you can do but leave.

Truth! I truly believe they are able to get by due to the long lottery waitlists and DCI feeder. By the time your kid hits upper El, you're tired and worn out from constantly battling with the school. Maybe things have finally reached a breaking point for better or worse. In the past, the school's defenders have been more vocal than I've seen with this latest crisis. We've been thinking of leaving the school for a while now and Michelle's departure is really solidifying that feeling.
