The one with the most Ivy legacy kids...

In recent years I would say GDS: amazing kids taught by a stellar faculty with top-notch academics and outstanding arts. It also doesn't hurt to have many accomplished parents in the school community (a number of whom have multiple Ivy degrees), so legacy is just icing on the cake for these great student applicants.

This cannott be even remotely close to true. Never hear anything about GDS and ivies except on this board. It would have to be STA - but who really knows...or cares.
This poster is making GDS look foolish.

I wish OP would return to the private school forum. This topic is major news over there and will be debated for 50 pages.

I have to agree with the idea posted in another thread that the GDS booster is not actually associated with GDS but is making them look bad on purpose. There is no way someone could have such little self awareness that they wouldn't see how counter productive these posts are.

I know if I was looking at schools and thought this was any reflection of the GDS parent body, I would look elsewhere.

Of course, the Holton Booster(s) was actually this lacking in self-awareness, and it took about six months of raspberries for that poster to see the light.

All boosters need a containment thread. Look how effective the UMD containment thread is.

I think parents shelling out tuition care.

It is similar to when the top end d1 football or bball schools recruit a kid and try to convince the kid/parents that their program/school is the right one to attend.

Success and getting said kid to the next level is definitely a major consideration for those with top talent.

Let's be honest. GDS students (and their parents) are not the only independent school students with aspirations for Harvard. They may just be marginally better at getting there
