did anyone watch? OMG what the EF??? that Madison woman is out of control with her open porn lifestyle and teaching her toddler about sex and vaginas and "hey lets draw a picture of a vulva..." and "lets water the plants with my MENSTRUAL BLOOD". Only in Berkley. I cannot even wrap my mind around this one.

I taught my toddler about her vulva and vagina because I was teaching her body parts. And we planted trees in our yard with placenta after the birth of each kid. When my almost three year old asks how babies get into the world I'll teach her about sex.

I hadn't considered watering plants with menstrual blood, but now that the idea has been presented ... I'd have to use a diva cup instead of a tampon ...

It wasn't that she taught her daughter all the correct terms. it was that she was obsessed with it. The daughter had access to her sex toy trunk, and was playing with a giant dildo. Sex is all she talked about! When she had a playdate, she had the kids color pictures of their ovarian system. OP here. Thank you for explaining it in more detail. yes this is exactly what I was feeling and trying to say in my OP.

it was just weird as all get out. I refuse to believe that she thinks SHE is the normal one and that everyone else needs to become more "liberal and progressive" like she expressed in the show.

Definitely weird, though I have to say having lived in SF for years, the baseline for "normal" can get skewed.

And don't forget, I'm sure the producers encourage situations of conflict for the show. I'm sure it wasn't a coincidence that the hypno-mom sons asked her to stop while they were filming.

OP again. The other thing I found interesting about her is that she blamed her "conservative upbringing" on why she has decided to be so off the charts progressive with her DD (who she clearly does not want to give any gender identification to) yet she still very clearly wants her "conservative" mom's approval....asking her opinion about bring EM to see her performance art piece of her in bondage. And yes, Daddy needs to put his foot down - that is ridiculous. Does he have to make porn movies and does she HAVE to be in them movies? and what is Feminist Porn anyhow?

I think there is a huge difference between being open about sexuality and teaching your children the real names of body parts VS on playdates bringing out uterus pictures to color and talking about menstrual blood. That is just doing stuff for shock value. And that performance peace is a messed up thing to show a 2 year old.

I'm watching it now, about 15 min in. I had to come comment!! What's up with the toddler playing with the sex toys!?!? I was so grossed out. Not because a sex toy might look like a body part (that'd be fine) but those were likely inside someone!! I hope they disenfect them after use.

I fast forwarded through hypno mom. Which proves that the reason I, and many others, watch this show is for the shock value. Hypno family seemed a little weird but not bad at all, annoying for the kids but nothing harmful (from the small amount I watched). Now, body positive/sex obsessed mom was wacko and super entertaining! I feel bad for the whole family. The kid obviously and the dad because even though he's in the porn business he's smart enough to know that his kid doesn't need to be wrapped up in it. I feel bad for the mom because she's just clueless. Being open about the body and even age appropriate sex is fine but PORN for a 2 year old. I feel like this would be illegal

Hey I loved Hypno-Mom. Loved that house even more

Family seemed normal and loving. Kids were respectful, house was quiet and serene.

Body Positive Feminist Porn Mom = where is CPS when you need them? even if the show is edited, doesn't take away from that fact that their gender neutral child was being exposed to some weird and inappropriate stuff. Weird even by Berkley standards I bet.
