People taking their dogs into CVS, and other places that sell food

The employees cannot approach these people because they claim it's an emotional support dog and by law they cannot be questioned on the validity of this. NO ONE (except Home Depot, apparently) wants them in there. And yes they are entitled with their little internet purchased ID cards.

It's not just Home Depot. Sorry, you'll have to avoid Lowes, too...among others.

Petco
Home Depot
Lowes
Tractor Supply Co
Nordstrom
The Apple Store
Bass Pro Shops
Pottery Barn
LUSH
Macy’s

A woman was carrying around her damn dog on her shoulder in Whole Foods of all places!!! WTF is wrong with people these days? Also, we're in the middle of a pandemic! That shouldn't even matter.

Somebody had a dog in Whole Foods!!! WTF??? Besides the no-pet signs outside, obviously the employee manning the line of people outside isn't doing his job!!!

I think of these people as mentally ill. Just like the people who shout into the ether on the Metro, subways, or elsewhere. No stable adult needs to bring their pet doggy with them everywhere.

We're you afraid of catching coronovirus from her dog?

Take your meds and calm down.

I agree entirely. How do we get them to stop? How do we get store management to listen? I won't even begin to list the serious incidents with people I know.

Do you realize that some of these people are mentally ill and derive great comfort from their dogs? As long as they are in businesses that permit dogs, why does this make you so angry? It makes me question your mental health as well.

That's exactly why I bring this up. We're talking about Whole Foods, CVS, and other stores that have a NO PETS ALLOWED policy. Btw, emotional support animals are NOT service animals.

I realize that, and agree that people should not take pets where they aren't permitted. However, people were complaining about Home Depot and other places that pets are permitted.

Well, trying to get away with passing off obvious pets as service animals in Whole Foods and other supermarkets and CVS, for example, is absolutely ridiculous!

Regardless of the pandemic, they're not allowed in there!

My local wine shop allows dogs, and I like taking my pooch in. He trots around, sniffing the bottles and visiting with the staff, who know him. There's nothing open for his fur or "germs" to get into, so I don't see the problem.

We're talking about stores / businesses with clear "NO PETS ALLOWED" policies. What kind of stupid people bring pets into grocery stores, which are required by law to prohibit pets?

In stores like supermarkets? TJ Maxx? CVS? Target? Just because someone doesn't say something to you, doesn't mean that dogs are allowed.

And we're not talking trained service animals who are trained to help with a specific medical need. Pets are not stuffed animals that children in adult bodies need to bring with them everywhere because of "comfort." "great comfort from their dogs" is not a critical medical need.

So sick and tired of stunted adults taking advantage of businesses.

That's exactly what I mean. We should be able to shop in a drama-free and calm environment of only humans.
