Reston area dance and gymnastics competition teams?

We will likely be moving to the Reston area mid-June. My girls are going to be very upset about leaving their dance studio and gymnastics. They have both been content to just do recreational classes with a couple of annual performances until these past few months. Now they are both super excited to take it to the next level.

DD1 is 12 and she was all set to join her dance studio's competition team. She does ballet and jazz, and she wants to try lyrical and pointe.

DD2 is 10 and she just got invited to join her gym's AAU gymnastics team at Level 3, and is very close to Level 4 skills.

for quite some time, they have known that a move to DC might happen. But when we tell them that this is now a reality and will happen very soon, I would like to be armed with information about the new and exciting dance/gymnastics options they will have. I am mostly interested in info about the competition teams, but also any opportunities, such as cool camps/clinics.

Their main reason for wanting to join these teams is to just feel they are a part of something and to meet new friends with common interests. Their rec classes have been great, but they don't really get the chance to bond with their classmates.

So anyway, I would love any info about gyms and dance studios in the area. I'm hoping they will be able to find teams that they can join right away.

Gymini gymnastics in Herndon, va has competitive gymnastics teams.

CDC is the big competition dance place, but it is in Chantilly. I commute from Reston to there one day a week and depending on the route it takes 15-25 minutes. We do not go to CDC but it is on the same street as Chantilly Academy, which has competitive gymnastics. We are not on team though so I can't give you any info about that.

My daughter was at a dance competition and 2 schools from VA that were impressive were Chris Collins and Cuppett. Not sure how close they will be to you, but it might be worth a look for a competitive team.
