Would you let your 15-year-old watch "South Park"?

Oldest child is 17 and I certainly wouldn't dictate what she watches.

Pretty screwe up to let a 4 yo watch family guy.

I don't watch this show. Just wanted to say when I was a kid, if I saw something that was inappropriate - I just didn't "get" it. For example, I remember seeing "Grease". Rizzo fears she is pregnant. I had no idea what they were talking about. The fact that she "skipped a period" - I thought they meant a class. Someone mentions a "bun in the oven" - I really did not know what this meant.

I think many things just go over your head when you're still innocent....

Same reaction to grease when I was 5 or so. But Family Guy is nothing like Grease. It's a cartoon but the sex references are explicit and, more than that, it's a very mean hearted show. Nothing at all like Grease.

That's in your opinion and you don't get to attach your feelings onto anyone else's decisions. We love Family Guy, we watch it. You don't and you don't watch it. Both are fine; different strokes.

BTW, when my 4 y/o watches, if someone curses, she'll say "they said a bad word" and I'll say yes they did. And that's it. No need to shield her from the "bad" things in the world.

No, I wouldn't let my 15-year-old watch South Park. I have three kids in college or out of college and one high schooler, and no way no how. I like the show occasionally, but it's rude and crude and unacceptable for impressionable minds. My grown kids can watch what they like, but in my house, it wouldn't fly.
