FCPS On track for IB degree 4.1 gpa Many ECs including leadership |

Biomedical sciences
1340 SAT 3.8 Gpa weighted DCPS Frankly surprised and happy! Wasn’t expecting |
| Are they not doing deferrals this year? My kid was waitlisted and I see some others here who are saying waitlisted. I thought colleges only did deferral for early action and waitlists for regular decision. |
|
To clarify, your kid was accepted at Clemson, Purdue, JMU, etc. and you are also the same poster whose kid was waitlisted at VT with: FCPS 4.1 1480 SAT Strong EC's Varsity Sports Leadership ? Engineering at all those schools? |
| Congrats to all the acceptances! I have a DC currently there majoring in National Security and Foreign Affairs (NSFA) who loves VT. Good luck to everyone who was deferred or still waiting. 🎉 |

Waitlist for Pamplin
3.965W (mid year grades brings it to a 4.09) 1370 IB Diploma Candidate Sports, ECs, some volunteer Waitlist FAQs https://www.vt.edu/admissions/frequently-asked-questions/wait-list.html What is Virginia Tech’s history of selecting students from the waitlist? In 2023, we were unable to offer any applicants from the waitlist. In 2022, we were able to offer 2,458 applicants from the waitlist. In 2021, we were able to offer 3,286 applicants from the waitlist. In 2020 we were able to offer 3,961 applicants from the waitlist. In 2019 we were unable to make any offers. In 2018 we were able to offer 1,896 applicants from our waitlist. As you can see, the number of students ultimately receiving offers from the waitlist is highly unpredictable and variable each year. |
These are great options. I would much rather go to several of these over VT. Don't make them go to JMU just to stay instate. |
DS accepted to CMDA! Are you the helpful poster who has shared a lot info. about CMDA in the past? If so, thank for all that which helped DS decide to select this program. He loved the new building as well.. |
