No! that is terrible from the show. He just married Trixie and saved Nonatus. Maybe they will replace him with another actor??? Ugh.

I do hope they just replace him. Honestly, they could just replace lucille too lol. but it probably be odd to have two actors replaced in the same season. I think with Matthew he could just be busy at work so we don't see him? Hopefully they don't make him die on the honeymoon or something.

Agree. Trixie has been through a lot and is the sole remaining original civilian midwife and is a total badass. She deserves happiness!

Not easy when one actor in the relationship is a star, and the other is not. I was surprised they didn't keep him on the show, and eventually develop a new love interest.

The extremely clear implication of this article is that Olly and Helen had something happening…

But it doesn’t sound like he was problematic behind the scenes if the cast was baffled. Stuff like that would be well known.

I don't think that's right. If anything they'd want to keep their biggest star happy and keep him around. Unless they had something, broke up, and she wanted him off the show.
