Agree. Trixie has been through a lot and is the sole remaining original civilian midwife and is a total badass. She deserves happiness! |
| I thought I read somewhere that Trixie is leaving the show. |
No. |
Either he was problematic behind the scenes or contract negotiations failed. He was nothing special as an actor, hope they just replace him with a similar-looking fellow. |
Wow, just read this article. So, does Trixie not get her happily ever after? Bummer, I hope he can be replaced. Also, the actress that plays Trixie is getting divorced. https://www.thesun.co.uk/tv/23892403/call-the-midwife-olly-rix-axed/ |
Ah too bad about Helen George's divorce. They met on the show. |
| I just love that show. Makes me feel comforted and grateful to live in the now even more. |
Not easy when one actor in the relationship is a star, and the other is not. I was surprised they didn't keep him on the show, and eventually develop a new love interest. |
Maybe she'll come back pregnant! (Is she really off the show for good?) |
The extremely clear implication of this article is that Olly and Helen had something happening… But it doesn’t sound like he was problematic behind the scenes if the cast was baffled. Stuff like that would be well known. |
I don't think that's right. If anything they'd want to keep their biggest star happy and keep him around. Unless they had something, broke up, and she wanted him off the show. |
| I watched an episode or two of this show years ago but bc of this thread I started watching. It’s. a really good show ! |
OP here - so glad you jumped back in! I truly love the show and the characters, even the fashion and the topics covered during the various time periods. It is very well done. |
