Laura Geller baked foundation - good or a social media scam?

Anonymous
I recently bought the Laura Geller. I’m finding it to be dry, cakey, and settles into my pores and wrinkles. I was so surprised because the advertisements looked so promising. Maybe I apply it too heavily? Maybe my moisturizer isn’t compatible? What do y’all think it is?

Yes, Jane Iredale is really good.

I just bought it for myself and have found it is tricky to get it right. I had to change up my moisturizer and sunscreen to get it right. It's okay, bummed I went all in on the baked set. Was debating between LG and Subtle stacks. I'm 50 and thought LG would be better for my aging skin. This is a one and done purchase for me. I like the smashbox halo glow bb cream better. I was influenced, but I am making the best of it.

I used it for awhile but it made my rosacea worse. Also made me look a little on the orange side and the product didn't hold up all day. I recently switched to ilmakiage. So far, I like it. The color match quiz was spot on for me.

I’m happy with it. I got a very light shade and it matched well and softens my face and evens my tone. I’m 45 with dry acne prone skin.

I like her blush but hate the foundation. Made my rosacea worse and very dry off color.

I was not happy with it at all. I watched the many videos and decided to try it mainly because it said it will hide wrinkles. And it did not! I cannot use it on my 70+ skin and I asked them about it. The videos definitely say it will hide wrinkles. They were made much worse. In fact, I didn't know I had that many wrinkles. All the people at Laura Geller tdld me is to buy their spackle do foundation. I had already spent $60 on their make up. What a disappointment

I usually use Lancôme Dual Finish, but found a LG in my drawer that I bought on a whim a year ago. The porcelain is so much darker than it should be & it seems to look very ruddy in the end. Not a fan.

I like it over a moisturizer. I am 66 with pretty good skin as I was a grease monster living at the dermatologist when I was young. I also have Jane Iredale and Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue. I use very little skin coverup , so it works for me. I use all three for different occasions.

I saw this in my Insta feed, purchased. i am 60yrs old. I like the kit and brush for sure. it also came with the baked foundation. It does not have the full coverage I like, no matter how much build you put on it. Now... using my full coverage by Beauty Blender, and putting a top over-lay on it gives it a nice finish and great for touch ups during the day as i am a "face toucher"

I like to use il makiage sun foam all over and then add an all natural tinted sunscreen on my face. It's nice coverage and protects your delicate facial skin

I love the powder foundation, I've had many compliments in my skin ! My Sister bought 2 and shared with me ! My friend also commented on how natural it looked and ordered her own !

just recently purchased it. I am not a fan. The foundation settles into my pores and it does not look good.

I've been using Bare Minerals for years, but I feel like it's slowing disappearing. Half of the BM products I use are no longer available, and what Ulta is selling for BM is down to almost nothing. I heard at one point that the company was restructuring of something. I feel like I'm in need of finding my replacement for Bare Minerals but I don't know what else to try at this point.

I also feel like I need more coverage sometimes or it just doesn't photograph as well. I was pleasantly surprised by the warmth and finish that MakeUp Forever gave my skin.

I bought it not realizing that it's meant to be a foundation. I just wanted something that would tone the shine down a bit, but it's too much coverage for me. I think it would work if you want a light foundation that's easy to apply.
