2 weddings and one "formal" church event with my very conservative parents. The church event is the one I'm dreading because when they don't show up in a dress, my mother will flip out.

This last one is a 'your mother' problem. I'm cis female, go to church weekly, and NEVER wear a dress.

Kohls has some nice button down dress shirts (that aren't overly feminine, but cut narrower) and plain slacks. That's where I'd go.

Mix and match masculine and feminine elements of an outfit. For example, a tie with a skirt. My nonbinary child does this all the time to family events.

My ten year old is gender nonconforming with clothing too. I had great luck with used clothing sites like the Real Real and Poshmark—they have beautiful blazers and jackets from European brands that work well with simple black pants and a simple cotton t underneath—not even a button down.
