+1. Good for her, but I don't find this helpful. Not interested in how the trust fund kids live. They also don't have kids so I cannot relate to any of the expenses. This DC entry is far more relatable. https://www.refinery29.com/en-us/genetic-counselor-washington-dc-salary-money-diary |
I wonder if they ever had children. It’s been a few years. |
Wow, $655K with no kids. We have a similar income but childcare for 2 kids under 5, plus a mortgage, eats away at a lot of it.
|
I couldn't get past her skincare routine! |
That person still lives with a partner and together they make over $180. It’s clear surviving here on less is really hard |
I did that as a teacher. Doesn’t sound too crazy to me. |
Not the same kind of work at all. Please. |
One last sleuth
You forgot Virginia Hospital Center. It’s easy access from West End which has several middle eastern restaurants. There’s a total wine in Ballston down the street from VHC. And beefsteak, Whole Foods and a gym are walking distance from the west end area. Visi is also not far and I’m not sure if anyone mentioned Holton Arms for high school. |
Pretty sure the girl is Asian and most likely the guy. |
Or Indian. |
DH and I make a lot more than this but work nowhere close to these hours. We also have 2 kids. No trust funds or family office for us. She won the ovarian lottery. |
This is the only part of the story that I can relate to. Not that still have Netflix; I cancelled that a year ago during one of our budget squeezes. |
Unlikely. Indians are a wealthy subgroup in the US, but they do not (yet) have generations in the US with the type of family wealth discussed here. |
Boat club dues + sorority, fraternity dues + generational wealth = 100% sure it’s a white couple. |
or GT hospital. but yeah, no mention of driving. great life to never deal with DC traffic. |
