Yes, very uncommon and interesting. It's also very rare to see women surgeons. One of her sisters has a more "regular" job. |
they are a team? They can afford it? It is her family’s wealth, she didn’t earn it. They are a family and not a business arrangemen? |
I didn’t read the article, but in the budget breakdown I didn’t see food. |
Food isn’t a fixed monthly expense. Food costs are included within the diary entries, not the fixed costs. |
Is this a serious question?? They’re married. Do you think Mark Zuckerberg has Priscilla Chan still working to pay off her medical school debt?? I remember Nicole Shanahan who is the wife of Sergey Brin (billionaire and founder of google) talk about her student loans in a video. I’m sure Brin who is now her husband has paid it off for her. I find it bizarre that she has her husband working to pay it off. Given she has a family office she can afford it. I’m assuming that he is going to be the father of her children so...??? |
Your attitude reeks of entitlement! This is family money. Shouldn’t be going to paying student loans of someone who may end up divorced from the family. |
How did they get to $3000 in transportation expenses for the week? |
I actually did grow up poor and married into money. My in-laws have been very helpful with my loans, because I'm a member of the family. I'm in wills too, not ahead of my spouse, but if he dies stuff goes to me rather than directly to our child. I don't demand it, but it's the treatment that makes sense to me, and what I expect we'll do once the money is under our control. It's family money for family members, including by marriage. |
Plane tickets for the sister’s kids. |
Yes, it’s a serious question. It was my question, actually. Clearly, having a prenup, this family doesn’t think like you do. Why on earth would she pay his loans off after securing a prenup? |
Wtf??? So why on earth would you be against her doing something that your own husband’s family did for you? I can’t stand women like you. There is nothing wrong with feeling entitled in being taken care of if you marry into money. The bolded shows you’re pathetic and a hypocrite. |
I’m the person that asked if this is a serious question. She’s smart to have a prenup. Never disagreed with that. And honestly, doesn’t sound like a family I would marry into. There are plenty of wealthy families that aren’t like this one and actually kind. |
That’s a month. They are obvious old money. What is the point of this post? I think their expenses actually seem pretty low for their income, and yes, $1400 a month for dog daycare is ridiculous, but millennials. |
Think that’s a different person, not a hypocrite |
Me too! |
