I'm still perplexed as to how several of the women--Faith, Ellen, and Leslie--developed such strong feelings for a dude they knew for a few weeks and didn't spend all that much time with one-on-one. Was it just the possibility of love and idea of Gerry they built up in their heads? I totally understand getting caught up in the moment, but I would think they'd come to reason once out of that strange little bubble. It does sound like Faith has lingering feelings for him.

As a 62-year-old, let me say that there aren’t a lot of good guys out there who are financially stable, let alone tall and with their own hair and teeth. I’ve dated a few who ticked those boxes, and after a few months I could tell why they were divorced. Possibly these women, who are older than I am, had similar experiences and thought they finally found the one.

She's physically very attractive but her personality, with the farting and the OTT boudoir shoot, was too much for me. Can't imagine her being serious as a romantic lead.

I think social media following has nothing to do with it. Whoever gets chosen, it will be for really practical reasons. Like, the bachelorette agreed to move for the relationship, so we don't have to watch a bunch of possible attachments suddenly crash and burn (sorry, Faith). Or no exes who could come out of the woodwork, which is why widowed Gerry was so appealing to them, until an ex came out of the woodwork and he wasn't.

Then whoever gets chosen will immediately have a gazillion followers, so starting with no followers doesn't matter. And let's face it, all the contestants on the Bachelor started with no followers and it wasn't an issue.
