Why post this on a Vienna thread?

VPL site doesn't update often and sucks.

Compared to other leagues the NPL tracking and posting of scores it’s the worst.

Looks like they won 3-1.

So I think I remember people posting how Vienna usually beats McLean at the younger ages, etc etc. I just so happened to be able to watch most of the Vienna Eagles vs McLean Green U12 boys game this morning. Vienna won...but they both played very good soccer and it was a fantastic game to watch.

Vienna 2008 girls qualified for Nationals in Colorado in July. You may think it's nothing but to the girls on that team it's going to make for a very fun weekend! Meanwhile McLean just keeps scrimmaging themselves. Too afraid to even sign up for Jeff Cup.

VYS U9 Red team made it to the final in the top bracket at the Arlington tournament this weekend.

What happened to the 2010 Boys red team in the ASIST? They were placed in the top bracket but struggled mightily. Surprising after they won the Nations Cup in November

Arlington or McLean when discussing both girls and boys.

They lost 4-1 to Bethesda, tied PWSI 3-3, and lost 2-1 to the Arlington team that beat SYC 6-0 in the final. Objectively, I wouldn’t classify their weekend as “struggling mightily” or insinuate that they didn’t belong in the top bracket. I believe they were well placed and played 3 competitive games. That’s what a tournament organizer and every club should want.

Arlington has the best boys program. Maybe on the girl’s side as well.

Dumb question, but really dumb answers. This is why Arlington is able to have six teams at each age for each gender.

I watched a few of the Eagles’ State cup/ tournament games recently.
Compared the the Phoenix teams, the lack of passing creativity was apparent. I think I saw only two “1-2s” passing combos.
Very surprising since my DD’s team lives by these combos.
Though, will add that they did win one of the games.
