Please recommend some good TV shows (inclulding channel and time) for a 7 yr. old boy.
I am sick of Spongebob and he is outgrowing Franklin, Berenstein Bears, etc...

Thanks!

Adventure Time on CN. My boy loves "Jake the Dog and Finn the Human". He also recently "discovered" Looney Toons on CN. Of course, Star Wars, the Clone Wars on Friday nights have been a favorite for a while now.

Phineas and Ferb!

Also we are watching avatar on netflix and the whole family in enjoying it, but that is a little older.

Scooby-Doo is a big hit in our household. The kids also enjoy Danny Phantom and old Tom and Jerry cartoons as well as those mentioned above. We are no longer watching Nick Jr shows - I'm impressed you got your 7 year old to keep watching them .

DS actually likes some of the Food Network shows like Chopped, Cupcake Wars and the one with the guy (A. Richman) who eats huge amounts of food. Those shows are pretty tame, but we wonder about the emphasis on food. He also likes several of the other shows already mentioned like Phineas and Ferb, Pokemon, Beyblade, Bakugan, Ben 10 etc. And when we can find it, he likes Mantracker on the Science channel (I think). He would like to watch The Suite Life of Aack and Cody and some of those other Disney shows, but I'm not a huge fan. He watches them occasionally, but we limit those. He used to love Caillou. Those days are over...

Mythbusters! Especially if he's into science and how things work.

I can't believe no one mentioned Avatar!

Mom, Dad, 9 yr old and 6 yr old love this show. This is the best kid's show out there, by far. The writing, direction, animation is all top quality.

What channel is Myth Busters on.

Mythbusters is Discovery Channel - big hit with my kid, too.
Also really likes Timeblazers (and I do too) on the Hub
Design Squad on PBS
The Magic School Bus
Phineas and Ferb
Arthur
Fetch with Ruff Ruffman
Cyberchase

The below have few redeeming qualities but are relatively harmless, and the DS likes them alot:

Expedition Impossible
Wipeout
101 Ways to Leave a Game Show
Family Game Night
