Chances? Sex once 36-48 hours before ovulation

Anonymous
I recently got pregnant and we only had sex on CD 10 and I ovulated on CD 15. Blew my mind. We had a really hard time getting pregnant with our first and had been trying for a second for about 5 months and then decided to take a couple of months off.

I definitely will! I'm 8 dpo today so I'll be testing this weekend. In the meantime, I'm just obsessing over my (imaginary) symptoms! And re-reading these lovely anecdotes

36-year-old PP you quoted here. Just got my period today, also 8dpo. Damnit, my luteal phase is still effed after all (I'm still breastfeeding a 12-month-old).

Good luck to you, OP! I will check back here to see your outcome! Journal your symptoms everyday so you have something to compare future months to, if there are any future months that is..

OP here. Happy Thanksgiving! Decided to test this morning because we just couldn't wait. Got a BFP on my internet cheapie but negative on a digital. We're cautiously optimistic!!

PP, I'm so sorry this isn't your month. I couldn't even get my period back until I completely weaned. I hope your body regulates itself soon!

Yay!! I'm the PP with three boys (tried forever for #2 and then got pregnant instantly with #3). I've been watching this thread and thinking good thoughts for you, OP. Hope it's all good news from here on out!

OP back. I think I might have a chemical. Digital test still coming out negative. I pulled it apart and there is a very faint line. I'm 12 dpo so test says it's 90% accurate at this point. Bummer.

OP- get yourself a box of FRERs and ditch the digitals. They are not very sensitive. In two healthy pregnancies, I got BFPs with Wondfos and FRERs at 8 DPO but not on a digital until after I had missed my period (15-16 DPO).

it was a boy! My third boy!

I have decided that DH and I just make boys. So, Shettles didn't work for me!

I'm pregnant w/ #3 after having 2 boys. With this one, we DTD 4-5 days before O (day 8 but I have 26 day cycles) and DH is convinced it's a girl ... I think as much because of Karma as because of Shettles. We're waiting for the birth to find out, though.

I read that digitals will have a line no matter what. They don't work the same way as regular line tests. I wouldn't jump to the conclusion you had a chemical. I agree with getting a frer.

OP, I'm sorry to hear that. Please post an update if you have one in the next few days. And, PP, let us know if you have a girl!

A line in addition to the control line? I'm seeing two lines - one dark control line and one second faint line. In any case, I'm going to follow the advice and ditch the digitals! This has been a bit of a roller coaster of emotion.

Digital is less sensitive than wondflos. You're testing too early.
