Not sure where to put mother's ashes, hoping for suggestions.

I say have a private ceremony where you scatter them at the beach. You don't need to involve anyone else unless you want to.

There are lovely Biodegradable Urns that you can put the ashes in and set out in the water. A friend did this for his sister. You can put in them and then decide when to let them go.

This is true. My dad was a boat captain and we wanted to spread his ashes in the harbor. Nobody would take us out to do it unless we were three miles out. It's illegal otherwise. We're planning on spreading my dad's ashes at a fort in Florida. But once again, it's illegal. So we're going to have to do it very quickly when nobody is looking. Sucks but true.
